Jon has spent many years practicing law abroad for major US law firms, and has additional international law experience as a staff attorney for the International Finance Corporation, the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, and as a professor of international business law. Jon is licensed to practice as a solicitor in England and Wales and is also fluent in German.
Jon maintains an active real estate practice, assisting clients with the purchase, sale and leasing of residential and commercial properties.
Jon engages in a full-service art law practice, representing and counseling artists, art galleries, dealers, art funds and art financing entities.
Jon has extensive experience with life settlements, and has served as a trustee for both hedge funds and individuals in that field. He currently advises life settlement brokers and other market participants.
Jon uses his experience as a trust and insurance attorney to help businesses establish captive insurance companies to manage retained risk and minimize insurance costs.
